Haifi El Sorrento
Starting his sport career in different disciplines, ultimately excelling in dressage, Haifi El Sorrento (2005), a grey gelding bred by Edith Lipp/Germany, developed into one of the most accomplished Arabian sport horses of his generation in Germany. In 2019, he was crowned European Champion in Dressage at Prix St. Georges level for Arabian Sport Horses and received the WAHO Trophy for Germany in recognition of his international significance. At the ECAHO European Championships in Austria, he stood out as the most successful Arabian horse of the event, underlining both his consistency and quality at the highest level of competition. His career was formally concluded in 2022 with an official retirement ceremony at the All Nations Cup. Since then, he has continued to contribute as a competition partner for young riders, demonstrating reliability, rideability, and enduring athleticism.
Haifi El Sorrento is a son by BS Specific. BS Specific, by Sandstorm JC (Fame VF+ x Sids Marjuri) and out of the World Champion filly and German Elite mare Basara Saiyana M (Mel Nebli x Mel Quelinka), represents a deliberate fusion of American domestic lines and classical Spanish breeding. Crowned Senior Male Champion at both the European Championships and French Nationals in 2007, BS Specific combines proven show-ring success with genetic depth. BS Specific traces to Mirage db over Fame VF and Bey Shah, transmitting refinement, expression, and a distinctive show-ring charisma to his offspring.
Haifi El Sorrento dam was Haifi Dinjah (El Aswad x Haifi Daoudinah), a German Elite mare tracing to the Romanian Mangalia and Babolna State Studs and further to the desert-bred mare 87 Glule of the Muniqi (Managhi) strain. She produced nine registered foals, her last being Haifi El Sorrento, alongside successful descendants such as Haifi Bey Junior, by San Antonio Bey, who competed in western trail classes.
Haifi El Sorrento stands as a compelling example of how thoughtfully combined heritage can translate into modern sport horse excellence within the Arabian breed.
