Faa El Sharik
The black stallion Faa El Sharik was sired by Dhar Faa Halim. Dhar Faa Halim, a black stallion born in 1981, was by Fabo out of Sar Landunimuhan, a Ansata Halim Shah granddaughter. Through Fabo, his sire line was Babson bred and through his dam line he had the finest Sheykh Obeyd and Al Khamsa bred Egyptian Arabian lines in his pedigree.
Faa El Sharik's dam was the Straight Egyptian mare Monieta Sharie, a dark chestnut daughter by Moniet El Sharif. Moniet El Sharif was a son by Ibn El Moniet El Nefous out of Bint Bint Moniet and so had he' Queen of the Nile' Moniet El Nefous in his pedigree.
Monieta Sharie was a maternal granddaughter by the black stallion Gharib, who was chief sire at Marbach until his death in autumn 1990.
She was broodmare at Peggy Wojchik's Arabian horse farm in Wisconsin, USA where she gave birth to Faa El Sharik in 1992. Jutta Mauch of El Samoa Arabians in Southern Germany saw this lovely black colt at Peggy's farm and immediately fell in love.
She imported Faa El Sharik to Germany in the early 1990's and presented him at the stallion licensing show in 1995 where this black stallion was awarded with the silver ribbon. Standing at 15.2hh, he impressed the jury by a long high set neck, a good body, very good movements topped by his dark, big eyes.
Faa El Sharik sired mostly black foals to which he passed his good movements and his excellent legs as well as his good personality. His foals became successful endurance horses. His son Aswad Zafir was champion at the 2006 and 2007 Swiss Endurance Trophy. His daughters Sha Naizah and Sha Layla were successful endurance horses as well. Through this success, Faa El Sharik was awarded with the Elite Stallion title by the German Arabian Horse Association in 2005.
In August 2019, Jutta Mauch had to made the decision to let her fellow go forever: Faa El Sharik was put down at the age of 26.
