The black sabino mare Abalissa was born in May 2005 and bred by Helmut Giersberg, Germany.
Her sire was the Straight Egyptian stallion Al Maraam (1998–2018) who was a son by Imperial Imdal,. Imperial Imdal was 1986 World Champion Stallion and a well known sire in Straight Egyptian breeding in both the U.S. and Europe. Al Maraam’s dam was the black The Vision HG, a mare of rare elegance and charisma whose influence extended across continents. The Vision HG was an excellent broodmare producing for example World Champion Stallion Al Lahab, his younger full-brother Al Hadiyah AA, Israeli National Champion Colt, and Al Ayal AA, World Bronze Champion Stallion in 2018.
Abalissa’s dam, the black mare Focus Khemadeara, carried a predominantly Egyptian pedigree, subtly enriched by American domestic lines through her maternal great-grandsire, the renowned Khemosabi. Her sire, Focus Khemali, was a son of Ruminaja Ali and earned the title of World Champion Stallion. On the maternal side, Indian Legacy brought in valuable influences tracing back to Morafic, Hossny, and Ansata Ibn Halima, while the tail-female line ultimately descended from the desert-bred mare Abeyah,
Abalissa was shown at the Arabica Show in 2007 and has no registered offspring.
